To let anyone know i'm now also posting a second blog, which is based around my 3rd Year Interactive Arts course, on which i'll be posting all about the creative things I'll be working on during this, my final year at Manchester Metropolitan University, feel free to have a look at http://ia0708.blogspot.com/
Also, top three rainy day in the university computer lab tunes:
Joy Divison - Atmosphere
If you haven't been to see Control yet, get on it now! There's a definate Joy Division revival going on at our flat at the moment!
The best link for anything Factory Records link has to be Cerysmatic Factory
Pedro The Lion - The Poison
I used to love Jade Tree Records until they started to release a whole bunch of faux-hardcore records. Pedro The Lion are one of the labels most overlooked highlights on there and with lines like My old man always swore that hell would have no flame, Just a front row seat, To watch your true love pack her things and drive away. This song is an absolute gem.
Modest Mouse - Spitting Venom
a spikey track from Modest Mouse which is truley epic running at eight and half minutes but its absolutely top. Incidently, the last time I saw them at The Ritz in Manchester they closed with a beautiful rendition of this. For me its all about the trumpet at the end and the infectious ryhthm of the entire track.
